History:
Genki’s mother died during childbirth very nearly taking him with her, due to internal haemorrhaging with no known cause. Earlier tests and ultrasounds had shown Genki to be outwardly human and healthy, so it came as quite a shock to both medical staff and farther when the son he’d longed so desperately for, stared up at them innocently with crimson red snake eyes. After further investigation more deformities were found in Genki, most notably the expanse of pale grey scales the covered his small back and turned darker over the weeks he was kept in for observation.
Much to his father’s horror the hospital refused to put his son up for adoption because it was against regulations for chimeras to be added into the adoption system for the health and safety of other human children. Begrieved by the loss of his wife that he now assumed to have been disloyal, unaware the mutated gene had lain dormant in her DNA and repulsed by the anomalous son he was burdened with, he blamed Genki entirely for her death and continued to attempt to get rid of him throughout his younger years to no avail.

Genki suffered horribly both at home and school. Instead of being afraid of him, his classmates went out of their way to bully and humiliate Genki until he attacked a group of students nearly killing one of them. Getting kicked out of schools and re-locating was almost an everyday occurrence to him, going home to an abusive farther that had turned to alcohol for comfort. He had no room of his own in the house instead, after the almost daily punishments Genki’s farther would lock him up in a cage in the basement. This continued until during another session of beatings from his farther Genki fought back and brutally murdered his tormentor, now 16 he fled and went on the run but although used to his kind being shunned by the rest of society, he found shelter in a group of chimera criminals and misplaced his trust. After two years in their company, their hideout was raided by hunters and what Genki thought were his friends used him as a sacrifice for their own safety, handing him over to the hunters who placed him in the club he’s worked in ever since.
